


Last week, on the OneNote Dev Blog, Microsoft shared more of the extensions history but also revealed their plans to make the OneNote Web Clipper an open source project. Over the course of the last 2 1/2 years the Web Clipper for OneNote has moved through three key cycles of growing and development to become a great tool for OneNote users as they surf the web in their favorite browser. In early 2014, when Microsoft first released the OneNote Web Clipper browser extension its functionality was limited to just grabbing a screenshot of the webpage on a users screen.
